Ever since Facebook updated its profile layout to the Timeline format, users have been slowly making the transition. We are slowly getting used to the new format but have found one cool feature that we think will win a lot of Facebook fans over. The coolest thing about the new Timeline profile is the ability to feature a personal photo in the “Cover Photo” section of the timeline.
Many users are taking full-advantage of this new feature by adding their own personal photos or downloading images direct from the web. By adding a cover photo to a Timeline profile, it really makes a difference and adds a personal touch that the old profile format wasn’t capable of achieving.

If you love daily deal sites like Groupon and Living Social, then you are definitely aware of Facebook Deals.
It was last November when Facebook unveiled their mobile “check-in-deals” program and in April, a site-wide version of their deals program was unleashed on 5 US cities. Since the start of Deals in November, millions of mobile users have taken advantage of great deals in their area. When Facebook users check-in on their mobile phone, users will be notified automatically when a deal is nearby; convenience is a luxury that all Facebook users can afford now with Deals.
Facebook has a distinct advantage over its popular competitors like Groupon and Living Social, because they have their own platform to work off of, which happens to serve nearly 700 million people. With Deals on Facebook, advertisers already know what you like to eat, what music you listen to, places you visit and what brands you love. The only downside about Facebook Deals may be that it is too specific to a user. As for Groupon, the deal site searches deals happening depending on your location, which is more flexible in giving you more options for deals to choose from.

The Memorial Day holiday weekend is almost here and we have discovered a cool way to show individual patriotism in honor of the holiday.
Many of us use Facebook to showcase ourselves, catch-up with friends, and share pictures of good times had. The only thing missing from Facebook, we think, is the ability to customize your personal profile. Although Facebook users are not able to customize their profiles by tampering with the site’s individual html code (like you could on Myspace), there is a very simple way to get around this little bump in the road. Enter, PageRage. PageRage is a browser plug-in application (not available as a Facebook app) that allows users to skin their profiles with pre-made or user created Facebook layouts.
How it works: Visit www.PageRage.com and install the free plug-in. The PageRage app is compatible with the following browser types: Internet Explorer, Firefox, and Chrome. Once PageRage is installed, you will have access to all Facebook layouts within their online library and let us tell you, it’s massive. There are thousands, upon thousands of Facebook layouts to choose from. There is also the option to create your own Facebook layouts using their top of the line CYOL tool. Once you have created or selected a layout to your profile, simply log into your Facebook account, navigate to the profile tab and hit the refresh key. You will now see that your Facebook profile is customized with a PageRage Facebook layout. So cool!

Stay in “the know” of everything related to Facebook and Facebook layouts. There’s no need to stray, so why not stay?
If you have ever had the chance to meet a celeb and take a picture with them, you wonder, how can I tag Rihanna in my picture on Facebook?
Great news! Just a few days ago, Facebook released a new feature that allows you to tag Facebook fan pages (aka celebrities, brands and music pages) in your photos. So cool! Not only is this a great way to show off your awesome pictures to friends, giving you more bragging rights, but this new feature also gives fan page owners free advertising. As seen in the photo below, you tag a fan page just the way you would tag another person. Once you tag a fan page, the tagged photo will show up under the fan pages photo’s tab for other fans to see. A page can be tagged in a photo even if you haven’t “Liked” it. Pretty spiffy huh?
